Studying Slower
A note to myself on slowing down enough to understand what I am actually reading.
There is a version of studying that feels productive because it is fast. New tabs, new papers, new ideas, constant motion. It creates the impression of progress.
The harder version is slower. It asks for enough patience to rewrite a derivation, inspect a tensor shape, or restate an argument in simpler language. It looks less impressive from the outside, but it is the only version that reliably compounds.
I am trying to build this site around that slower version.
